Here's the plan for who stays where:

Motel room #1:  Mizners  (two nights)
Motel room  #2:  Olsons (two nights)
Motel room #3:  Cernas (two nights)

Mom and Dad have paid for the motel rooms ($600) and food (lot$).  Why don't we all pitch in $50 to help cover the costs of rooms and food for those days.  Sound good?  Susie, you can just pay $10 (tee hee).

INSPIRATIONAL PARENTING Let this video serve as a message to all the homeiupdogs out there: Never give up!

NICK USING A SPOON Keeps his focus despite a distraction. (By the way, he looks a bit like Daniel here.)

Best Tiger joke i've heard so far

Q: Why did Tiger hit a fire hydrant and a tree?
A: Wasn't sure if he should go with an iron or a wood.

Top this one?

I think I'm coming down with a cold!

For real....my nose is a little stuffy and I've been waking up with a sore throat for a couple of days now. Plus, I've just been more tired than usual.

Marathon Women

Courtesy of the Mizner family, here’s Boo and M-J just after finishing the grueling Seattle marathon Sunday morning. Way to go girls! (Note how everyone busted out the warming blankets, even though it was a very warm fall day.)

Olsons Head South

Tomorrow, following school conferences with Andrew and Emily (pictured), and right after the football dinner @ Everett High with Daniel, the Everett Olsons are taking off to the city by the bay. We'll miss going over the river and through the woods, but we will enjoy endless hours up and down I-5.
Chances are we'll be on the road home during the Apple Cup, so keep your phones on so we can check in.

Attention, Twilight Fans

Esp those in the, homeiupdawg crowd: Give me your honest take on this site: http://msntwilight.com/

Is it cool? Boring? Let me know! (I didn't create it so you can be honest.)

An aside: It just amazes me that Forks, Wa gets this attention.

Time Out Instructions

During a time out, I was pleased to see that the players were all attentive. This soccer coaching isn't all that difficult.

Nick in Costume, plus video

Nick as a monkey And here's a video of Nick methodically sorting through his candy. It's also amusing on two other levels: Me on the phone with Dad in the background disparaging Troy Sutherland (former chimacum cowboy teammate) and, at the end, a brief look at Mak taking candy from Nick and eating it before Darcy stops the camera to yell at the dog.

Nick and his Mummy

I think the title says it all, really.

Happy Halloween

Vote to Approve Ref. 71!

Please vote to Approve Ref. 71.  As you know Vanessa and I don't have the same rights as straight people (uh, that's all of you guys :).  If this measure passes, we will have close to all of the same rights married people have.  Thanks for your support!

StoryCorps - Dad

I'm organizing a project in our district called "Sound Portrait" which is a tiny version of NPR's StoryCorps. I needed to make a quick example to show at the faculty meeting tomorrow, so I interviewed Dad. He did a great job...I only wish I had more time to ask him more questions.

Welcome Baby Roman!!
