Shout out to Bullseye!
Saw this on youtube and remembered fondly Susie and I clapping like maniacs through two shows trying to win what was probably an imitation leather jacket. We couldn't figure the game out, they bused in senior citizens so we were the youngest by far. But a great memory!

Dad's Excellent Speech
For those of you who didn't attend, Dad gave a memorable speech in South Cle Elum for the Centennial celebration. We did film it and will burn it to a DVD for future viewing. He did an awesome job, everyone was at total attention the whole time. Sarah was technology helper, with both sound, lighting, presentation and video. She was even chosen to be a part of the Coast Guard Presentation of Arms.
Great job Dad!!
Happy Birthday Jane!!

Videos of Daniel's Crew Race
My apologies for the lack of quality on this vids. If you view them full-screen, they are slightly better.
Here's a shot of Daniel getting off the boat after the race:
Here's Andrew's commentary on the race (Daniel is in the 3rd boat from the left, I believe, if you can see that far):

Daniel Olson: Crew Master

Daniel competed in a regatta (is that what they call crew competitions?) yesterday. His novice team was undefeated and the team he is on now is a summer league. They have to row 2,000 meters at full speed. Pretty impressive. I don't think I've ever seen him so tired! Great job, Daniel! John, can you give an update on Daniel's second race?
Video coming soon!

New digs!
Here are a few snaps of my new place---still very much a work in progress. Last Friday I got to experience a plumber snaking the sewer! Fun!
No pictures, but the deck is out the sliding glass doors with a great view---you'll have to visit and see for yourself. The day I took the pictures was one of the few sunny days in Seattle. Actually had to close the blinds.
The deer in the yard are courtesy of some wrangling with a park ranger last weekend. They weigh about 80 pounds and I plan on dressing them up on special occasions. Nothing says home like concrete critters!
