Couple of photos of Mom celebrating both WSU's entry into the tourney, and her birthday. We had to sub-contract out the party to Darcy's friend, but it all worked out quite nicely.
Nick had never seen the Cougars lose an NCAA tournament game before tonight, and as you can see he was just as disappointed as I was. Here's video of him watching Taylor Rochestie run down the court against a lone defender, spin with his back to the basket and -- praying for contact -- throwing the ball straight in the air, comically missing.
Nick also reacted this way when Weaver got blocked BADLY on consecutive shots. (But good run by the Cougs!)
Here's a staged shot: Andrew posing with his clay re-creation of a scene from "Horton Hears a Who." If you look closely, you'll see Horton, the pond, the bird, the monkey, and, if you really have good eyes, the Who colony inside the dust speck.
Andrew shook off the disappointment of not being the youngest cousin anymore and channelled that energy into a science fair project "Naked Mole Rats" - a Judges Award Winner this year!
