Ho Ho Hotel Room

Hi Gang,
I have a hotel room for the 23rd and 24th. The kids will only be there on the 24th unless there is a Christmas miracle. Extra bed, swimming pool access and continental breakfast available for the 23rd. Otherwise I will just be in hog heaven. lol

im not sure if my first post went through. I just need to know what each family's plans are for the christmas holidays. Do we want hors devours on the eve and fancy dinner on the 25th?

Is The Great Escape based on Germans??

Listen to this podcast on the supposedly TRUE story of the Great Escape.  The guy who teaches Radio Communications for our high school shared this with me.  After several heated questions, "Are you SURE the story was originally based on a Nazi escape?  Did you research this story at all?  Have you even seen the movie?" he assured me that the movie was based on German POWs in Arizona.  I didn't even know there were POW camps in Arizona!

Retro Clam Dip

Clam Dip
1 (7 oz.) can minced clams
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
4 tsp. sour cream
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. grated onion
Salt & pepper
Drain clams and combine with other ingredients. Beat until well mixed. Can be served hot or cold. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

We decided to let Nick draw names this year. Didn't go super smoothly, but we got it done. (No rigging whatsoever.) We will either post the names here, or send them individually, depending on what the comments say. Emailing it would be you all want it to be surprise, but really, it never is a surprise.

Thanks John, Mike, Joe, Dad, Daniel, Andrew and Mom for all your help!!!  (and ruth/natalie).  I really appreciate your efforts to turn my backyard into a beautiful space.  Raccoon netting is down, so I'm hoping there won't be too much disturbance before it takes root.  (A couple of weeks?).

SAUSAGE FEST IN EVERETT! It's this weekend from Friday to Sunday the 1st. $30 for Friday wristband (means you can ride unlimited rides that day) and $25 for Saturday and Sunday. :) Even if you don't get a wristband you can still come and enjoy the food, games, and pie house yum!
