Why are teachers underrapprciated?

At msnNOW we are doing a story about why teachers are underrappreciated. The way we typically do it is we get a list of serious or funny insights on a theme, then find a funny pic to illustrate it.

Here's an example of that
http://now.msn.com/only-a-camp-counselor-will-understand-these-27-things

The goal is that teachers will share this with each other, with the "it's funny because it's true" observation.

So, what are the types of complaints that teachers have that fall under that umbrella. Ones we already have are this, but what we lack are the kind of "insider" things that mostly teachers would appreciate:

1. People think they do nothing in the summer
2. They're underpaid
3. They have to be parents for you
4. They have to pay for their own supplies and education
5. People think it's easy

other ideas? somethign about the unions? Or just about teacher culture?

they don't all have to be weighty/serious issues..it won't work if it comes off as whiny

Welcome Baby Roman!!
