Bebe quilt

Most of you have probably seen it but here is the finished quilt from the baby shower! Thank you grandma for putting it all together.

Visiting Hours Update-

We are so excited to have such a beautiful healthy baby. Parenthood and labor have been extremely exhausting, emotional and overwhelming, more so than I ever could have prepared for so I appreciate all the messages and also everyone understanding that I haven't been able to respond! 

We are taking it hour by hour at the moment, but will hopefully be ready for visitors soon (and will let everyone know) once we recover and get in the swing of things a bit. 

Not sure if my mom sent her "birth stats" :)  

Aria Noel Otterstetter, 6lbs 14oz, born at 4:03pm on 11/11/16

Middle name is tribute to Jeff's late uncle Leon (spelled backwards) who did not get a chance to meet her but predicted she would be a girl. She is also our close to Christmas baby! 

Congratulations to John and Ruth who correctly guessed the date!! Aria will be very excited to meet all of you!

Congratulations, Jeff and Rachel on the birth of your daughter. She is beautiful and has lots of love and support in her life. We look forward to meeting her! We are proud of you!!

Lastly, I have finished another reel of the old movies.  The film is deteriorating, so I'm glad to have transferred to digital.  Cost to send to a service runs about $80.  We might want to consider this as I can only get a certain quality doing it manually.  I'm calling this one the John Highlight Reel. 

Congratulations, Daniel! (and ST3)

The one bright spot from last night's returns was the passage of light rail expansion in Seattle.  Daniel worked on the campaign.  Can you spot him on the victory stage with Dow Constantine?  Nice work, Daniel!  Thank you for all you did!

I ruled that school

District golfer AND student of the month in May? I was the king. (That mary was head cheerleader and student of the month before me is inconsequential.)

Old Movies

Trying to convert the old movies to digital.  Not sure of the quality.  Can you watch and tell me if it's worth it to keep going?  I've spliced together some random reels.  Some very good shots of Mom's family.  A bizarre air band with Buck's friends.  Mary on the basketball court.  First day of school shots for the old kids.  Adorable shots of me as a baby.

Everyone's favorite topic: illness and vaccinations

My doctor asked me to remind any family/friends who will see the baby in first few months to make sure you are up to date on whooping cough vaccine. It has come as a tetanus/whooping cough combo for the last few years, and the vaccine lasts 10 years so you may already be good.

There is also apparently no harm in getting multiple shots if you're unsure, as I've learned if you say you are "not sure" they will give you the shot every time (I've now been vaccinated 3 times...)

5 stars to the party planning committee

 Thank you so much to the PPC for putting together such a beautiful, classy and fun shower. Everyone had a great time and I was so impressed with the food, cake and decor! It was better than even the best party I could've envisioned. 

Thank you Dana for photographing the event! My friends all thought grandpa was hilarious and grandma's crepes were delicious as well. Here is the guess board in case anyone else (Emily?) was missed!
