News From Everett:
Emily is off her crutches after her horrific sprained ankle. The only thing that made it better was to be on crutches for her classmates to see. Once that got taken care of, she was much better and may only miss one soccer game after all.
Daniel is playing soccer instead of football this year. In his first game, he had three penalties - thought he was playing football still. In the second game, the goalie on the opposing team, with a 4-1 lead, took off from his own goal with the ball, dribbling to around midfield when out of nowhere Daniel came and performed a "you don't do that kind of showboating on this field" slide tackle - took him right out. All of us on the losing team put that play as a highlight.
Andrew is also playing soccer and having good time. He did put up a fuss about playing goalie, prompting the coach to ask "Is he going to speak to me again?"
Mary Kate is fine - new schedule puts her at work at 6:30, home at 3:00, so someone can be home with the kids.
John is adjusting to his low-level dean status after enjoying the high life of a VP. Turns out as VP the only budget he didn't take care of was in the area where he is now the dean. Rotten deal.
That's it for now. Go Cougs (v. USC this weekend)!

Poor Emily!
42-7. Poor Dad! Sorry about the Cougars. Last night I walked by an old woman who was begging for .20 soles (about a nickel). Perhaps can give some perspective on football. Incredible poverty here. Probably made worse by my laughing...
How did Emily sprain her ankle? Soccer? We see kids playing soccer on cement playgrounds and diving for balls. I think Emily and Daniel would fit right in! I had to laugh at your comment about Andrew. I can just see him steaming in the goal with a stern look on his face. ha ha!
Thanks for the updates---they´re great to read!!
Sarah, those were actually predictions of the final score. The game was last night. My pick was only 5 points off. Final was 47-14.
