broadcaster will be airing "National Knitting Night," a sure-to-be
riveting five-hour program that follows serious needle-wielders as they
attempt to set a world record for knitting a sweater from start to
finish (and by "start," they mean from the point when the participants
shear the sheep).This
heart-stopping knitathon is the latest installment in Norway's ongoing
"Slow TV" phenomenon; previous series have included a real-time
broadcast of a 10-hour train trip from Oslo to Bergen, as well as
"National Firewood Night," which featured eight hours of logs burning in

Having done the trip from Oslo to
Bergen, it is not at all boring.
Especially when Dad is on another car train and John and I get off and he
doesn/t. That was high drama.
